SAP Transport Integration for Jira – REALTECH Settings
SmartChange connects SAP transport management directly to your Jira space – giving developers and project managers full visibility and control over SAP transports without leaving Jira.
Before SmartChange can be used in a space, a one-time configuration is needed in Space settings → Apps → REALTECH → Settings. The setup follows a clear sequence and takes only a few minutes.
Prerequisites: The TM Controller must already be configured before starting here. See TM Controller Configuration (coming soon).
Configuration Overview
SAP Systems (Required) – Connect the space to a TM Controller and define which SAP development systems belong to this space. Always the first step.
Workflow (Required) – Define where the SmartChange panel is visible and configure TM workflow action filters for CREATE and REASSIGN actions.
Validators (Optional) – Legacy configuration for workflow validators. Only needed if the direct Jira workflow validator UI is not available in your setup.
Synchronization (Expert only) – Update or delete SmartChange issue properties in bulk. Use only when explicitly needed – actions cannot easily be undone.
Recommended Setup Order
Configure the TM Controller – see TM Controller Configuration (coming soon)
Configure SAP Systems – connect the TM Controller and add development systems
Configure Workflow – define panel visibility and action filters
Use Validators only if your workflow requires legacy validator configuration
Use Synchronization only when explicitly needed (e.g. after adding new SmartChange fields)
