Allowing the Same System in Different Transport Levels

Issue

It is not possible to use the same system in different transport levels under the destinations tab. Attempting to do so triggers the error message: "System [SID] already exists (Level [level name])".

Solution

To enable the use of the same system in different transport levels, follow these steps:

  1. Open the table /RTC/TM_OPT.

  2. Locate the field EXT_UMODE.

  3. Set the value of EXT_UMODE to X.

Restrictions

  • The same system can only be used in different transport levels if different clients are specified.

  • It is not possible to use the same system-client combination in multiple transport levels.

Example

  • Allowed: System ABC with client 100 in one transport level and system ABC with client 000 in another.

  • Not allowed: System ABC with client 100 in both transport levels.
